Brose never settles for good enough and strives to be and partner with the best. Since the opening of the Tuscaloosa plant, Brose’s partner in maintaining a safe work environment for employees has been THE FUND. For more than 17 years, Brose and THE FUND have worked together to analyze data and develop innovative programs to make the workplace safer. This relationship is one reason why Brose Tuscaloosa has become a safety model for other facilities around the world. Through this relationship, injury frequency has been significantly reduced.

Our broker said THE FUND was the best solution for us and he was right. We have stayed with THE FUND because they are the best value, have provided great service to us, and taken care of our employees when we needed them.

We joined THE FUND because all of the standard carriers had left Alabama and every employer in the state was scrambling to find workers’ compensation coverage. However, I quickly learned that as a member of THE FUND, I had control over my workers’ compensation costs and THE FUND gave me the tools I needed to create a safer work environment for all of my employees. As a member, I feel like my company is part of a club where we work to make everyone better. We haven’t had a loss time accident since 2015 and that’s important milestone to us!

I have worked with providing workers compensation coverage for Alabama domiciled clients with ASI for over 35 years. ASI has the needs of the member employer considered at all times. Underwriting, Claims Management, Loss Control Services, and Financial Responsibility are all critical components of the success of ASI and reasons why clients use them for their workers’ compensation coverage needs.

In 2013 when I first got actively involved on our company’s safety committee, it was clear that we needed some expert help to revamp our corporate safety program. Steve Searle, of Employers Claim Management, asked to meet with me to discuss the specific changes he felt strongly we should consider. I remember Steve saying that we had great safety policies, but we were not as good at actually carrying them out in the field. We needed to get everyone’s attention with a safety campaign, Steve said. Together, he and I spearheaded Hardy’s new S.A.F.E. campaign to emphasize the important role our superintendents and foremen play in operating a safe jobsite, and building a true safety culture.

I give Steve credit for our improvements in safety training and accident investigations. His frequent recommendations to me, our safety director, and our safety committee are based on his years of field experience, and the best practices he has seen firsthand elsewhere. As a regular speaker at our foremen’s meetings, and by regularly inspecting our job sites, Steve’s credibility with our field operations leaders has had a real impact on dramatically reducing our number and cost of workplace accidents over the last three years.

Robert Trent Jones is committed to using the golf experience to strengthen the image, attitude, and perception of the State of Alabama by providing the finest collection of championship golf courses in the world. Our staff are the feet and hands to this success. An environment that promotes safety and health ensures our team members can focus on what they do best – providing service that surprises. Employer’s Claim Management (ASIWCF’s service provider) has been a valuable partner in supporting these goals. They focus on training to prevent. When a safety event does occur, Employer’s Claim Management is quick to respond and efficient with their methods while keeping the employee’s health needs a primary concern. This approach has helped RTJ decrease our overall claim expenses in recent years resulting in a significant reduction in our premium. Employer’s Claim Management’s relationship- oriented staff have complemented the desire of The Trail to protect the investment for the Retirement Systems of Alabama while keeping the best interest of our employees in mind.”

I joined Paradigm Investment Group as Director of Human Resources in September of 2013 and met with the staff at Employer’s Claim Management that was responsible for handling our claims. I found the staff to be excited to help us lower our claims numbers and costs any way that they could but did not know if that would hold true through the years as our account aged. We experienced a case manager change in 2014 and again I wondered if we would see a decrease in the level of service. We were not disappointed and still see the same energy and passion for servicing our account.

Today, we are experiencing lower claim costs and numbers because of our partnership with Employer’s Claim Management. Our case manager walks through our claims with us on monthly calls, follows up with physicians that are treating our employees and helps us to do what is right by our employees and our company. They are a true business partner. We truly appreciate their services.
