A court order has been issued in Jefferson County that challenges the constitutionality of two statutes of the Alabama workers’ compensation law.  The Order specifically cites the $220 cap on permanent partial disability and the 15% cap on attorney fees.  The issue more than likely will be working its way through he court appeals process and possibly through the legislative system for a resolution.
